As part of Frankston City Council Seniors Month in October, Joy of the Earth Community Garden hosts a special Community Open Day to celebrate connection, wellbeing, and the joy of gardening at every stage of life.

While we’re proudly participating in Seniors Month, our Open Day is open to everyone — individuals, couples, families, carers, and community members of all ages.

• Gentle guided tours of the garden and orchard
• Learn how the community garden operates
• Meet current members and friendly volunteers
• Discover organic and sustainable gardening practices
• See composting and worm farms in action
• Learn how gardening supports physical, social, and mental wellbeing
• Find out how to join as a garden bed member or social member
