As part of Frankston City Council’s Seniors Festival, Joy of the Earth Community Garden is opening its gates for our 2026 Annual Open Day — a day celebrating gardening, community, connection and wellbeing.

It is with great disappointment that we have made the difficult decision to cancel today’s Joy of the Earth Community Garden Open Day due to the forecast weather conditions.
After so much planning, preparation and hard work, this is certainly not the outcome we had hoped for. However, the safety and comfort of our members, volunteers, stallholders and visitors must come first.
The good news is that we are not giving up on our Open Day! 
We are planning to reschedule the event within the next couple of weeks, and we will share the new date with everyone as soon as it has been confirmed.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to preparing the garden, organising stalls, donating items, baking, volunteering and helping behind the scenes. The garden is looking absolutely beautiful, and all your efforts are very much appreciated.
While the weather may have dampened our plans, it certainly hasn’t dampened our enthusiasm!
Thank you all for your understanding, patience and continued support. We look forward to welcoming everyone to a wonderful Open Day very soon.
