I am grateful for discovering this space. Unable to have a home garden anymore, I sought a place to continue to grow veggies. I found so much more. A space where I can continue my childhood connection to time spent in gardens with grandparents, bring young clients to teach skills, connect with experienced, like-minded people to learn from, and see and be a part of the local community fabric. I can be an individual & I can connect with the community. Sharing food and produce is fun, giving back and building a space where people can come and engage how they choose – empowering! I feel at peace here.

Joy of the Earth Community Garden is a place that truly nurtures both people and the land. From the moment you walk in, there is a strong sense of welcome, connection and shared purpose. Being part of Joy of the Earth has been incredibly rewarding. It’s a calm, positive space where friendships grow alongside the plants, and where everyone is encouraged to contribute in their own way. The garden is a real asset to the local community and a place I’m proud to be involved in.

My patch in this community garden gives me a space to fulfil my interest in growing food. It’s a great place to share gardening knowledge and passion with other like-minded people. I am new to Joy of the Earth and I love having a wander around to see what others are growing and be inspired with everyone’s different styles and types of plants. It’s a very happy space to be.
